What was once home to ancient Vikings and wealthy English families has become a hot spot amongst tourists as well as hen and stag parties. The charming cobblestone streets carry a romantic and cultural presence and are almost never found empty.

Although there are many restaurants, bars, and pubs each venue is unique in its own way, The Temple Bar is the most pictured pub in the area and hosts the best traditional musicians in the country to perform Irish sing songs for both locals and visitors to enjoy. Tourists tend to try their first Irish pint of Guinness here and usually stay for many more. The Brazen Head being the oldest pub in Ireland is another favored spot and is iconic for its mention in the Ulysses by James Joyce in addition to the friendly crowd you’ll find inside which is common amongst all spots around the area.

There are endless options for foodies including popular names and hidden treasures. the Auld Dubliner and other restaurants dish up many different cuisines and famous Irish grub like coddle and stew for those who are up for trying something new. Temple Bar is home to numerous quirky and vintage shops for those who seek unique gems or something special to remember their visit by. From clothing and jewelry to books and records there is something for everyone. The area is also surrounded by some of Ireland’s most amazing attractions such as Trinity College and the Book of Kells, Dublin Castle and Chester Beatty, Christ Church Cathedral and Dublinia, along with plenty more.
