Our guide to Dublin
Fish & Chips
Leo Burdock, Christ Church
An absolute institution when it comes to fish and chips in Dublin. Burdocks have a few locations dotted about the city but it was from their Christ Church (Werburgh Street) base that they really made their name. With over 100 years’ experience, they’ll steer you in the right direction when it comes to fish and chips.
DoDublin Tour Stop on Christ Church Place
Fish Shop, Smithfield
This brilliant little shop was once just a pop-up shop located in Blackrock Market, thankfully they now have permanent residence in the city centre. Located near the thriving Smithfield area on Benburb Street, this place is sure to be a hit if you decide to hop off and grab a bite to eat.
DoDublin Tour Stop on Arran Quay
Fusciardi’s, Capel Street
Yet another favourite of Dubs, Fusciardi's serve up some of the freshest fish & chips in the city. Here you can sit in or take your food away to enjoy wherever you wish to. Here's a fun fact, Fusciardi's was the Friday treat for many DoDublin staff members for years. There is a second Fusciardi's on Dublin's Marlborough Street.
DoDublin Tour Stop on Ormond Quay
Beshoff Bros
A favourite with many Dubs, Beshoffs has been around for years and years. Order some of their signature scampi and chill out by the seaside. The view will leave you breathless. You can visit Beshoffs in the beautiful seaside village of Howth.
If you're in the city, hop off the city tour and visit their other store located on Dublin's O'Connell Street.
DoDublin Tour Stop 1
The Kingfisher
A top Dublin tip for fish and chips, we definitely recommend trying out the famous haddock in this restaurant located on the corner of Parnell Square and Parnell Street. The batter is nice and light in the Kingfisher and is combined brilliantly with tremendous chips.
You can sit in and have your fish & chips here or take them away to eat them wherever you like!
DoDublin Tour Stop on Parnell Square
Del Rio's
This traditional chipper/cafe is located on Dublin's Marlborough Street across the road from the famous Abbey Theatre. As well as delicious fish and chips, Del Rio's serve up an excellent big breakfast. Here you can sit in and watch the world go by while feasting on great fish and lovely chips.
