The Legendary Dan O'Donoghue

Back in 1995 Dan O‘Donoghue created and scripted the world's first bespoke Ghostbus Tour for Dublin Bus, this is a double-decker bus specifically designed as a mobile ghost-theatre in the upper saloon and a museum of Dublin's macabre in the lower saloon (complete with spooky corridor). Back in that time there were ghostbus tours already in existence eg London/Chicago ghost bustours, but their buses were not exclusively designed and built as haunted houses on wheels and travelling story-theatre.

Dan lives and works in Co. Mayo where he collects and performs local ghost stories and legends for Terra Firma, www.terrafirmaireland.com. Terra Firma provide specialist tours of Abbeys, Castles and the Mayo Dark Sky park. Dan can often be found performing his stories and magic in a remote mountain bothy in the Dark Sky park. Dan is also a professional close-up magician who specialises in mixing spooky stories with his magic. He uses the visiul tricks to enhance his local fairy and puca legends.
