This tour provides an in depth history of the great landmarks and buildings of Dublin City with plenty of stories included, the experience is both entertaining and informative.

 

The walk begins at the Molly Malone Statue and then will weave through some of Dublin's most popular streets as the group makes their way toward Dublin Castle and the Dubh Linn Gardens.

 

The next stop is the iconic St Patrick's Cathedral established in 1191, next-door to the Cathedral is Marsh's Library which is Ireland's oldest public library founded in 1707, followed by Ireland's oldest school dating back to 1432, then onto St Patrick's Park where it's believed St Patrick baptised the Irish pagans to Christianity in the 5th Century.

 

 

Just a stone throw away is Christchurch Cathedral, Dublin's oldest working building, Wood Quay the site of the first Viking settlement in Dublin City from the year 840, the River Liffey and on up to Fishamble Street Dublin's oldest Street. Passing through the famous entertainment hub of Temple Bar, visitors can see all the best night life establishments.

 

The tour will come to an end by O'Connell Bridge / O'Connell Street and where the story of Ireland's great liberator Daniel O'Connell is brought to life. During the course of the tour you will hear the history and the stories behind all these wonderful landmarks.
