Bloomsday an annual observance honouring the legacy of Irish writer James Joyce. The festival is celebrated through  variety of events across Dublin city. Join us as we bring Joyce's world to life.

Each Autumn, Bloomsday transforms Dublin into a vibrant hub of storytelling. Bloomsday is an annual literary celebration that is held on June 16th in honour of the famopus Irish writer James Joyce. The origin of the word Bloomsday comes from Leopold Bloom, who is the main character in the novel Ulysses.

Why Join?

 

What makes Bloomsday unique is that participants can take part in walking tours and can retrace Bloom's journey through the city, visiting key locations including Sandymount Strand, Davy, Byrne's pub and Eccles street. We also sell tickets directly to the James Joyce Centre, which is a central hub for the week long Bloomsday event, as well as exhibitions, performances and readings.
