" Hello, my name is John Ryan.

I have been a professional bus driver for Dublin Bus since 1995 and a tour guide with DoDublin since 2011. In 2019 I qualified as a Failte Ireland National Tour Guide.

Born and raised on the south side of Dublin, about 18km from the city centre and in the foothills of the Dublin mountains.

I live and breathe the city and it's environs every day - from its people, its streets, its buildings, statues such as The Molly Malone and James Joyce, and its culture. I am part of this ever changing, ever evolving and most beautiful and ancient city.

My wife Sarah is also involved in tourism and is a resident musician in Johnnie Fox’s Pub, Ireland's highest pub and one of the most famous on the island. I tell the tales of the city and Sarah sings about them.

We here at DoDublin are a family. From our background staff in the office, our promotional staff on the streets and we, the driver guides. We live in the city we love and love the city we live in.
