自然历史博物馆
自然历史博物馆，又称“死亡动物园”，收藏了各种各样的动物，以及总共两百万件科学标本。
请注意，由于翻新工程，博物馆目前不对公众开放。

自然历史博物馆
博物馆位于梅里恩街，距离爱尔兰国家美术馆步行仅需2分钟。
1856年，皇家都柏林学会的藏品日益丰富，亟需一个存放场所。莱斯克的自然历史藏品是当时欧洲规模最大的藏品之一，该学会于1792年购得此藏。莱斯克为了扩充藏品，走遍了爱尔兰各地，甚至远赴海外，在扩充藏品的过程中，他还曾到访格陵兰岛。
展览
爱尔兰房间
博物馆一楼陈列着各种动物的骨骼和头骨。天花板上悬挂着一条姥鲨的骨架，还有许多爱尔兰鹿的骨骼。除了其他鹿类文物外，这里还展出了爱尔兰常见的昆虫和其他动物，以及爱尔兰特有的哺乳动物、鸟类和鱼类。其中一些动物的骨骼已有百年以上的历史，包括獾、狐狸和野兔等知名动物。
一楼
博物馆一楼展出了来自世界各地、在爱尔兰难得一见的哺乳动物。您可以探索那些濒临灭绝或已经灭绝的物种。许多展出的动物标本都是从都柏林皇家动物园捐赠或购买的。
其他免费景点提醒
梅里恩街上还有莱恩斯特府。
拿骚街上有国家图书馆和三一学院，凯尔经就收藏在那里。
圣斯蒂芬绿地公园对面是小博物馆（持随上随下巴士票免费参观）。
科克山上有都柏林城堡，切斯特·比蒂图书馆也位于此处。
皇家医院内设有爱尔兰现代艺术博物馆（IMMA）。
萨斯菲尔德码头上坐落着柯林斯兵营装饰艺术与历史博物馆。

Family This glorious Victorian building houses an eclectic collection of ancient and modern exhibits. It includes fabulous blown-glass representations of sea slugs and anemones. The building is under renovation, so only the ground floor is currently open, but it occupied a busy 45 minutes for two five year old and their more mature family.
Entry is free but must be booked on-line.
I'm so looking forward to returning when the user floors and galleries are restored.
