My Day Exploring Dublin with the DoDublin Hop-On Hop-Off Bus!

I spent a full day exploring Dublin using the DoDublin Hop-on Hop-off bus, and it ended up being on of the easiest and most enjoyable ways I've ever gotten around the city. As a student, I didn't want to spend the day stressing about public transport or constantly checking Google Maps, so having the Hop-on Hop-off bus that brings you to all the main spots made everything much more relaxed. The live commentary on the bus also helped me learn more about Dublin as we travelled, which made it feel like more than just transport.

I started my day in the city centre and got off at O'Connell Street / Dublin Bus Head Office. This stops is really central and easy to get to , so it felt like the perfect place to begin. From there, I walked a few minutes to Arisu Photobooth with my friends. we took loads of pictures and had a laugh choosing different poses and backgrounds. It was a fun way to start the day and helped everyone loosen up before moving on.. It cost around €10-€15 per person, which felt reasonable for something memorable and creative.

After that, we hopped back on the DoDublin Hop-on Hop-off bus and enjoyed the ride across the city while listening to the commentary. Our next stop was Arran Quay , where we got off and walked about 5-10 minutes to AdventureRooms Dublin in Smithfield. We decided to do an escape room, which turned out to be one of the highlights of the day. Working together to solve puzzles and beat the clock was really exciting and it was nice to do something active instead of just walking around museums. It was a bit more expensive at €20-€30 per person, but for a group activity it felt worth it.

once we finished at AdventureRooms, we were pretty hungry, so we got back on the bus and headed towards Dame Street, which is right beside Temple Bar,. this area was really lively even during the afternoon, and there was a great atmosphere with music and people everywhere. We went into The Quays for food and I ordered something simple, a burger and chips. It cost around €20-€30 per person, which isn't the cheapest, but it was filling and convenient, if you're on a tighter budget, there are also plenty of cafés and takeaway places nearby.

After eating, we stayed on the Hop-on Hop-off bus for a while and just enjoyed the many stops that this tour bus offers without rushing. We passed famous landmarks like Trinity College, College green, Dublin castle and the Guinness Storehouse which we took pictures of at.

Even though we didn't get off at every stop, it was still nice to see these places and hear the stories behind them while sitting down and relaxing, To finish the day, we got off at O'Connell Street.

Overall, using the DoDublin Hop-on Hop-off bus made the whole day feel organised, stress-free, and very student-friendly. I got to see a lot of Dublin, do fun activities with friends and still keep my spending under control. It's definitely something I'd recommend to students or teenagers who want to explore the city without worrying about transport.
