Discover more with DoDublin from the beginning of August! We're excited to introduce our latest addition: the Docklands Route. This new path is packed with more bus stops and even more opportunities to explore Ireland's capital city.

Dublin's Docklands is renowned for its mix of modern architecture, historic landmarks, and cultural hotspots. With convenient stops at key attractions, you can easily hop off to explore and hop back on to continue your adventure...

 

Stop A - Parnell Square North

At the Parnell Square North stop, dive into the local cultural scene with a visit to the Dublin City Gallery, showcasing a colourful variety of modern art. Just around the corner, you’ll find the James Joyce Centre, celebrating the life and works of one of Ireland’s literary legends through site tours in addition to walking tours. This stop offers a genuine taste of Dublin's artistic and literary history and is only a stone throw away from other loved attractions including 14 Henrietta Street.

 

Stop B - O'Connell Street / Abbey Street

The next stop leads you right into the heart of Dublin. Whether you're a history buff looking to get up close to iconic figures like the Daniel O'Connell statue or seeking a glimpse into the creative world at Ireland's national theatre, the Abbey Theatre, this location offers endless activities for both visitors and locals to enjoy.

 

Stop C - Busáras

The third stop along this route is conveniently located next to Connolly Station, making it an ideal starting point for a day out on Dublin's DART. Head to coastal villages like Howth and Malahide on the Northside, or explore Seapoint, Bray, and Dún Laoghaire on the Southside. For those looking to stay in the city centre and further explore, take a look at other true gems like the Custom House Visitor Centre and James Connolly Memorial.

 

Stop D - Custom House Quay

Hop off and uncover stories from Ireland's rich past at EPIC - The Irish Emigration Museum, a historical hub that promises memorable moments for explorers of all ages! Afterwards, we highly recommend viewing the Famine Memorial and the Jeanie Johnston, which together beautifully tell the tale of Irish ancestors and their challenging voyage.

 

Stop E - Spencer Hotel

Step into the modern side of the fair city and discover architectural highlights like The Convention Centre, designed by the renowned Irish-American architect Kevin Roche, and the Samuel Beckett Bridge, created by the world-famous bridge designer Santiago Calatrava - two must-see landmarks.

 

F- Cardiff Lane

Experience another area brimming with striking buildings and attractions, like Grand Canal Square. Here the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre hosts spectacular performances such as WICKED, Swan Lake, The Book of Mormon and other theatrical specials. For those looking to embrace the great outdoors, Dublin Bay Cruises provide scenic and relaxing boat rides.

 

Stop G - Pearse Street (Library)

This street is named after the famous revolutionary and leader of the 1916 Easter Rising, Patrick Pearse, and his brother Willie Pearse who were born and raised at number 27 which still stands today. Pearse Street Library invites visitors inside to dive into unique collections and trace their family trees! Another notable feature is the stone head of Admiral Horatio Nelson. preserved after Nelson’s Pillar on O’Connell Street was blown up in 1966.

 

Stop H - Pearse Street

At Trinity College Dublin, you'll find the Science Gallery, the world's leading art-science network, sparking creativity and discovery at the intersection of science and art. It hosts a variety of mixed exhibits that appeal to all ages.

 

Stop J - O'Connell Street

Not only can you Hop off here to join the Original DoDublin Tour but you can take time to admire the city's tallest landmark, the Spire. This famous feature designed by by British architect Ian Richie carries countless local nicknames like 'The Nail in the Pale'. 'Stiletto in the Ghetto', 'The Needle', and plenty more! The General Post Office also has its own interactive museum experience which brings the story of the 1916 Easter Rising to life.
